I'll be giving reviews on places I eat, visit and enjoy (or dont!!) Life is too short to not be having fun along the way.

Zizzi's in Chester
We went for a meal tonight with my Mum to Zizzi's in Chester, and unfortunately I was disappointed. :-( I haven't actually been to this Zizzi's before and probably won't be returning.
The service was good, but the food was average, it wasn't BAD as such it just wasn't brilliant. I had the garlic bread with balsamic glazed onions, and got extra tomatoes on top. This was followed by a spaghetti pasta in tomato and basil sauce. The starter was nice but the onions and balsamic were only on parts of the bread and not spread out over the whole dish meaning I only ate a third.
The main was the most disappointing, the sauce (normally one of my favourite dishes in Italians) was plain, bland and very watery. The basil was non-existent with only a sprig for decoration on top. It tasted like they had opened a can of (cheap) chopped tomatoes and poured it over the too of pasta. Very disappointing.
However the service was good, and the pizzas looked nicer and the were certainly a lot more empty pizza plates than anything else, although no-one of our party had one.
The Zizzi's menu were online so I would recommend that if you are going that you read that through first. There are so many places to eat in Chester, there is no need to eat in OK establishments. If you want Italian head to La fortoria, much nicer and taste amazing!
My overall review for Zizzi's in Chester - Ok, but wouldn't recommend. As always, I have no affiliation with either company, these are just my opinions.
